Goblin Eternal
Goblin Eternal is the sixth and final book in the Broken Galaxy series, with the last surviving humans facing another threat while Rita, Imogen, and Nemo become central to whether there is any future left at all. Rita is still dealing with her life as a Goblin, Imogen is caught between different worlds, and Nemo is struggling with his own identity and isolation.
The book has a much bigger end-of-series feel than the earlier entries, with more focus on survival, sacrifice, identity, and what is left after so much has already been lost. It moves quickly and gives the series a proper sense of scale, while still keeping the character relationships important enough that the ending feels personal as well as large.
The Goods
- Strong end-of-series scale
- Good emotional payoff
- Interesting mix of human and Goblin characters
- Fast pacing
- Feels like a real finale
The Bads
- Depends heavily on the earlier books
- Some plot turns happen very quickly
- A few ideas feel over-the-top
- Not every character gets equal attention
- The ending may feel rushed to some readers
My Recommendation
This is a strong finish for readers who have followed the Broken Galaxy series from the beginning and want to see where all of the human, Goblin, and larger galactic storylines finally lead. The stakes are much bigger here, but the book still keeps enough focus on Imogen, Rita, and Nemo to make the ending feel personal instead of just turning into one giant battle. If you enjoy military science fiction, space opera, and series finales that try to bring a lot of moving pieces together, Goblin Eternal gives the story a satisfying sense of closure.
