My Top 3 Post-Apocalyptic Books
My top three post-apocalyptic picks are M.R. Forbes’ Forgotten series, Apophis by Eliza Lentzski, and The Two of Us at the End of the World by C.A. Fletcher. I think what connects all three for me is that the end of the world is never the only thing that matters — I need the people, relationships, and survival choices to matter just as much. The Forgotten series pulled me in with how much bigger the story kept becoming while still giving me characters I actually wanted to follow. Apophis has that colder, more isolated kind of survival story, but the lesbian romance gives it a lot of heart and kept me emotionally invested. And The Two of Us at the End of the World has that same idea I really like in post-apocalyptic books: surviving is important, but so is figuring out what’s actually worth surviving for. I finished all of them feeling like I’d been through something alongside the characters, which is probably why they stand out so much for me.
