WILL IT HURT

LILY X

Will It Hurt is a snowy Edinburgh vampire story packed with witchy magic and big emotions. Aisla is a worn-out witch who helps vampires end their lives, and the job has started to numb her and mess with her head. Then Jinn shows up who’s a fierce, furious vampire who believes Aisla and the coven took someone she loved. Their anger turns into a risky plan: use forbidden magic to cross over and pull the lost back. The closer they get to the truth, the more dangerous everything becomes, and the romance heats up fast. The whole book feels tense, moody, and kind of addictive. And honestly, the ending hit me harder than I expected, I don’t usually get sad at books, but this one caught me off guard.

The Goods
– Moody winter setting makes everything feel magical and eerie.
– Strong sapphic romance with real tension and chemistry.
– Cool witch spells and vampire lore without heavy jargon.
– Big feelings about grief, guilt, and finding yourself.
– Fast pace, lots of twists, easy to binge.

The Bads
– Has blood and death themes, not for everyone.
– Spice is explicit, so younger readers should skip.
– Some magic rules feel fuzzy and hard to track.
– Jinn can be intense and mean for long stretches.
– Parts are heavy, and the sadness can linger.

I would recommend this book because there are so many twisted and emotional factors that keep you engaged and are hard to put down. If you like witches, vampires, complicated feelings, and high-burning romances, you are going to enjoy this read. It’s still dark, but it has heart. I liked that I was guessing the story the whole time, and the characters felt real, not perfect. This was my first Lily X book, and after reading this, I’m sure I will look for more.

Every book hits differently for every reader.
Thanks for reading my review.
